Wine Stocks
Bristol Medico-Legal Society has a tradition of pairing good food with well chosen wine, especially to supplement medico-legal discussions! The founders of the Society were like-minded colleagues who started a portfolio of wine in Averys cellar in 1975. This stock has been drunk and replaced over the years and with Averys’ help in selection has provided the red wines for most annual dinners.
There are two parts to the portfolio: an investment section comprising fine wines which will be sold and replaced with other fine wines and an annual dinner section comprising well chosen interesting red wines (usually French) which are held in sufficient quantities to serve at the annual dinner.
The wine committee looks after the cellar and reviews the stock. These are the wines we have held since 2012 and we plan to add to the stocks in the autumn of 2014.
