Tim practises as a barrister at St John’s Chambers in Bristol where he was formerly head of the clinical negligence and personal injury practice groups. He sits as a Recorder in the Crown and County Courts. He has been a member of the Bristol Medico-Legal Society Committee since 2005 and is currently President of the Society. His particular concerns as President are to continue the role of the Society as a sociable and friendly forum discussion across a very wide range of important current technical, social and political topics related to legal, medical, dental and veterinary issues and to enlarge membership particularly among younger professionals in the Bristol area.

Tim has a wide range of interests outside the law, in particular in music and the theatre. He is currently the Chairman of the Trustees and playing member of the Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra.
