Ms Kay McCluskey – biography

kay_mccluskeyKay McCluskey is a Solicitor and Partner at Metcalfes Solicitors in Bristol where she is Head of the Claimant Personal Injury Department. She has been a Partner at Metcalfes since 1990 and was previously a Partner at Rowberry Morris Solicitors.

 

Kay’s first experience of Bristol was when she studied for a Law Degree at Bristol University for 3 years in the late 1970’s. She then returned to Bristol in 1983 having by then qualified as a Solicitor.

 

Kay’s hobbies include the theatre, having previously been on the Board of the Show of Strength Theatre Company in Bristol. Kay likes collecting art, particularly contemporary Cornish paintings and sculptures.  Kay is very keen on travel, and particular highlights include seeing polar bears in the Artic around Svalbard, viewing the mountain gorillas in Rwanda and tiger watching in India.

 

Kay enjoys fine dining, particularly in the company of friends and family and enjoys cooking for dinner parties. Kay has always enjoyed fundraising for charity and has recently raised funds and profile for Headway Bristol, a charity of which she is a Trustee.  Kay was Legal Secretary of the Bristol Medico-Legal Society for 10 years before she became Vice President in 2007 followed by taking the role of President in 2010.
